Our Materials

Character
Each piece of wood that we use tells its own story. We often find carvings and square, hand-made iron nails in the floorboards that we use. Roman Numerals were carved into old floorboards and beams to indicate the order in which they would be laid down.

Local Reclaimed Wood
Our primary goal is to give local reclaimed wood a second life. We turn old, dirty and mistreated wood into clean, beautiful pieces. Once in your hand, you can appreciate the weight and quality of antique old-growth wood as compared to modern lumber.

Comes With A Story
We believe that the story and the history of the local materials are what sets our products apart. Each product comes with a description of the location and use of the original wood.

Hand-Crafted
Each one of our products is hand-made and hand-painted in our home in Cohasset, MA. We use basic tools and take our time to pay careful attention to detail.

About Us
We are a husband and wife team that creates unique, hand-crafted products out of our home in Cohasset, MA. Our goal is to give local reclaimed wood a second life.
We are very proud of the history and the heritage of the region that we live in. With centuries-old buildings dotting our communities, we search for antique wood with as much character as possible to create our whales, signs and other products.
We have been able to secure antique wood from homes, barns and other buildings in Cohasset, Scituate, Rockland and the surrounding area. Some of the wood is truly beautiful and each piece tells its own story, with many of those stories being 150 to 200+ years old. Our goal has been to preserve the character of each board as much as possible, including highlighting their 'imperfections' and unique characteristics.
We hope you enjoy our products as much as we enjoy making them!
